Double Digits!

My baby is double digits! I started this blog post way back on his actual birthday, and I am finally getting around to adding some photos and I can't believe how much older he looks already in just a few months since then. This year since it was a special double digit birthday I was trying to think of ways to make it extra special so we decided to have his party at the mini golf course. It was so much easier than having it at home I will admit, and overall it really didn't cost that much more either. Other than the fact that it was super hot that day I think it went really well but after the fact my boy admitted that he actually prefers having a party at home. Oh well, now we know for next year!

This boy brings so much joy to our lives and I am so thankful that he was born into our family. He's loving, kind, crazy, smart, affectionate, and tons of fun. Having a son is such a blessing and I don't take it lightly that we are raising a man and a future husband and father (Hopefully...he still says he's never getting married and never leaving home. He'll live with us til we die and then he'll move in with his sister. Love the plans of a 10 year old!). I love watching him grow and mature. He loves his family and he loves Jesus and I really couldn't ask for more.

Here are some photos of his birthday fun! Scroll to the end to read his annual birthday survey. So glad I started those!

My boy with some of his buddies.

He won!

His birthday was during the height of the Pokemon Go craze. I love how his Pikachu cake turned out! It was the tallest cake I've ever made. My girl helped out with making the head and tail.

His actual birthday was fun too with donuts for breakfast, a gift in the mail from Grandma and cheese curds for dinner!
