Photo Friday 2014 ~ Week 30

This week totally flew by.  I can't believe how fast the summer is going.  It makes me sad.  I love summer and I love lazy days with nothing to do and it seems that we haven't really had many of those this summer.  We've been busy running here and there and I have photo shoots to edit and things to do.  We need to slow down.  I'm wanting some days at the park and a whole day reading a book (I feel like I haven't done that in ages!).  I just borrowed a book from a friend so maybe that will actually happen at some point.  I need summer as much as my kids do.  I still have curriculum to pick out and the school room to set up and projects to be done around the house.  I'm feeling hurried.  I hate being rushed.  And I know my kids hate being rushed and hurried and yet I find myself hurrying them along this summer and I sometimes can't stop myself even though I want to.  Know what I mean?  I need to take a step back and relax.  I hope I can take some of my own advice and do that this next week.  We'll see...

In other news, I didn't even get my post up on time because I'm so busy.  I did take the most awesome photo of my son this week too but I'm not going to share it since he might find it embarrassing if other people saw it.  I love it though and he does too, it's just not one to share on the internet.  There are way too many weirdos out there so I have to be mindful.  Anyway, I have couple other shots to share, so here you go...

This boy and his sweet freckles.  Seems we can't keep new ones from appearing no matter how much sunscreen we use.  I think they make him look cute though.  He was wearing a blanket as a cape here.

The Cutie Cousins.  They made up that name for themselves a couple years ago.  These two have so much fun together and I'm glad we were able to see her family twice this week while they were in Florida visiting Disney.  These two are the same age and she lives in the mountains where we go at least once a year.  I think it is so awesome that my kids have cousins to visit like that.  It makes our trips that much more special.

Okay, so I didn't take this photo this week, but I found it when going through photos of a session I did while in Ohio.  He was hanging out with my mom on the playground while I did a photo shoot at a park and I snapped this photo of him just being him.  He has some crazy dance moves that are a style all his own!  And of course he was shirtless and shoeless!

See you next week.  I'm gonna try to fit in some downtime and I hope you can too!
